Microsoft For Mac 2011 Keeps Crashing Error Exc Bad Access

Restart the computer then immediately hold the Command key and the letter R key together until you see the Apple Logo. This will boot to the Recovery HD partition. More specifically this article explains how you can (1) locate crash logs (2) and read them to diagnose a crash. Your Mac can crash, rarely. These crashes usually mean nothing important, if it is rare. Thus it is not something you should worry about. In most cases, restarting your Mac will resolve the issue. Your Mac will automatically reboot. I have been running MS Office 2011 for Home and Student on my MacBookPro (OS 10.6.8 ) without any problems. Now all of a sudden, for no apparent reason, it crashes when I start, Excel, Word, or PowerPoint. I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled it three times using the following.

The problem has been solved. As it affected all (000 ?) users of the Polish version of MS Office 2011 I paste my response from another thread:

P.s. The whole affair with the Polish version of Office also shows that the quality control and debugging by MS is not fully satisfactory. Many users depend daily on the Word and the present disruption has put a rather bad light on MS.

Do you remember the good old days with WordPerfect for Apple II ? - It worked 🙂
